Dr. Wei’s research spans polaritonic chemistry, molecular spectroscopy, quantum electrodynamical chemistry, and optoelectronic materials. During his doctoral studies, he focused on the spectroscopic dynamics of organic molecular aggregates. On the theoretical side, Dr. Wei extended electron transfer theory into a non-relativistic quantum electrodynamics framework, further broadening the theoretical foundations of polaron physics and photochemistry. In his postdoctoral research, Dr. Wei continued to expand his scope, actively engaging in the study of metasurfaces and investigating how light–matter interactions influence organic optoelectronic materials and chemical reaction dynamics.
