The Chou Research Team is primarily dedicated to the molecular engineering of organic semiconductors and high-performance polymer elastomers (electronic skin), as well as the design and development of silicon carbide materials.

Materials Synthesis Group

Dedicated to the development of advanced optoelectronic materials, including two-dimensional materials, quantum dots, and nanostructured heterostructures. Through precise process control and comprehensive characterization, this work provides core material solutions for next-generation devices.

Optics and Light Source Technology Group

Research focuses on advanced optical systems, laser technologies, and light sources, with an emphasis on enhancing performance in optical communications and sensing, biomedical imaging, and display technologies.

Data and Simulation Group

By leveraging computational physics, machine learning, and big data analytics, device structural simulations and performance predictions are conducted. Simulation tools are developed to optimize the design workflow.
